Billionaire Paul Tudor Jones Calls Bitcoin the Best Inflation Hedge
Paul Tudor Jones, founder of hedge fund Tudor Investment Corporation, has long been known for macro trading. Bitcoin’s supply is capped at 21 million coins, unlike gold, whose supply can increase through mining. As monetary and fiscal stimulus drives prices higher, Bitcoin’s scarcity has made its potential to replace gold an important asset-allocation question.
On April 28, 2026, Jones told the Invest Like the Best podcast that Bitcoin was the best inflation hedge. He also warned that the total value of U.S. stocks had reached 252% of GDP, closing in on the 270% recorded during the 2000 dot-com bubble. Based on current S&P 500 valuations, returns over the next 10 years could turn negative, while a stock-market correction could also affect public finances and the bond market.
