Capital One Software Upgrades Databolt to Protect Unstructured Data in AI Applications
Capital One Software, Capital One’s enterprise B2B software division, launched Databolt in April 2025. Its vaultless tokenization technology replaces sensitive data with secure tokens while preserving the original format. With unstructured content such as documents and images accounting for 70%–90% of enterprise data, using it safely in AI applications has become a critical governance issue.
On March 23, 2026, Capital One Software unveiled new Databolt capabilities at the RSAC 2026 Conference. Automated workflows will scan unstructured data, identify personally identifiable information (PII), and protect it through methods including tokenization while preserving its semantic structure for analytics and AI workflows. The company has not disclosed a launch date, pricing, or investment amount.
