Decta Taps USDC for Cross-Border Treasury Settlement
Stablecoins are moving beyond crypto trading into the plumbing of corporate payments, where round-the-clock settlement can reduce dependence on correspondent banks and pre-funded currency accounts. OpenPayd partnered with USDC issuer Circle on June 17, 2025, to connect fiat payment rails with blockchain infrastructure; it said at the time that it processed more than €130 billion annually. Decta’s move matters because the token is being tested for back-office treasury operations, not offered as a consumer-facing payment product.
As of Aug. 11, 2026, Decta said it was working with financial infrastructure provider OpenPayd to introduce USDC for cross-border treasury settlement, internal fund transfers and liquidity management. The arrangement is designed to let Decta move between fiat currencies and dollar-pegged USDC within existing operational workflows, potentially shortening funding times across markets and outside banking hours. The companies did not disclose settlement volumes, the blockchain network to be used or a firm date for a full production rollout.
