Google Launches Deep Research AI Agent Lineup With First-Ever MCP Integration
Google DeepMind previously introduced Deep Research in Gemini, enabling AI to break down questions, search for information and compile reports automatically. It has now launched autonomous research agents for enterprises. In a first, they integrate the Model Context Protocol (MCP), allowing secure connections to companies' private data and external information while expanding multimodal analysis capabilities.
As of July 19, 2026, Google had released Deep Research and the higher-performance Deep Research Max, both developed using Gemini 3.1 Pro. The agents can conduct about 160 searches automatically, produce native charts and connect to internal databases through MCP. Google has not yet disclosed standalone subscription pricing or a complete pricing structure.
