Runway Unveils Solaris for Real-Time, No-Code Web Experiences

1 reports · First detected 2026-09-01 · Last active 2026-09-01

Runway, best known for generative video technology, is extending its ambitions into software interfaces with Solaris. The “interface world model” combines the company’s Gen-4.5 video system with a large language model, treating websites and applications as visual environments that can be generated continuously. The approach points to a new computing model in which users interact with rendered experiences without relying on conventional, prewritten interface logic.

In its latest preview, Runway showed Solaris rendering interactive web experiences in real time without underlying application code. Each click or drag becomes an input for the AI, which interprets the screen and the user’s intent before generating the next frame instead of executing a programmed function. The demonstration remains a technology preview; Runway has not disclosed a public release date, pricing or a timetable for commercial access.
