Google Updates Autonomous Network Framework With Gemini AI Agents at MWC 2026

1 reports · First detected 2026-03-03 · Last active 2026-03-03

Google has in recent years used its autonomous network operations framework to help telecom operators integrate data, analytics and network controls. The framework is designed to move networks beyond passive alerts, enabling them to assess conditions, determine causes and carry out repairs. As 5G and cloud architectures add operational complexity, Gemini AI agents have become key to reducing manual workloads and improving service stability.

Google updated the framework at MWC 2026 in Barcelona, Spain, in March 2026, adding automated data governance and network management agents. The system can proactively detect anomalies, analyze problems and take remedial action to help telecom operators improve operational efficiency. Google did not disclose any partner operators, deployment scale or investment amount.
