iCHEF Launches Restaurant AI Tools Eligible for 50% Taiwan Subsidy

1 reports · First detected 2026-06-16 · Last active 2026-06-16

Taiwan’s restaurant operators are grappling with rising rents, labor costs and food prices, making site selection, pricing and higher average spending per customer increasingly important to survival. Restaurant technology provider iCHEF is applying artificial intelligence to neighborhood-level market data and ordering behavior, aiming to help merchants assess potential locations before opening and improve sales performance after launch.

iCHEF has introduced its “Taiwan Restaurant Opening Success Rate AI Analysis” and “AI Personalized Ordering Automatic Recommendations” tools, offering guidance on trade areas, locations and pricing while suggesting dishes based on customer preferences. As of Aug. 6, 2026, the program had been recognized by the Administration of Commerce under Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs. Eligible businesses can receive subsidies covering as much as 50% of implementation costs; a fixed monetary cap was not disclosed.
