Warren Presses Trump for Early Disclosure of 2026 Crypto Earnings
U.S. President Donald Trump recently reported earning as much as $1.4 billion from cryptocurrency in 2025. His extensive digital-asset holdings have raised conflict-of-interest concerns as the U.S. Senate prepares to vote on a key crypto bill. The legislation would reshape the U.S. regulatory framework for digital assets, putting the president's financial transparency and its implications for national policy under scrutiny.
U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren recently wrote to Trump asking him to voluntarily disclose his cryptocurrency earnings for the first half of 2026. Citing his previously reported profit of as much as $1.4 billion in 2025, Warren said he must release his latest financial information ahead of the vote to guard against potential conflicts of interest arising from the crypto bill. The request is intended to protect the integrity of the vote and provide the public with an accounting of his financial interests.

The history behind this eventTrump Disclosure Shows Crypto Profits Shifted Into Traditional Stocks and Bonds
Former U.S. President Donald Trump’s stance on digital assets has long drawn scrutiny because of his prominence in politics and finance. Since 2024, he has actively promoted his family’s cryptocurrency ventures, tying his personal wealth more closely to emerging technology. The push has not only changed the Republican Party’s policy stance on cryptocurrencies but also intensified global investor interest in the movement of his vast holdings, making them an important gauge of the ties between the crypto market and political and business interests.
According to financial disclosure documents newly released in 2026 by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, Trump earned more than $1.4 billion, or about NT$45 billion, from his family’s cryptocurrency ventures in 2025. Although he still holds substantial amounts of Bitcoin and Ether, his asset managers have moved most of the crypto proceeds into the safer traditional stock and bond markets.
Trump Earns More Than $1 Billion From Crypto
The Trump family launched World Liberty Financial in September 2024 and issued the $TRUMP meme coin in January 2025. After returning to the White House, Trump took the lead in shaping cryptocurrency policy while his private businesses also benefited, raising concerns about conflicts between his presidential powers and commercial interests.
An annual financial disclosure released by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics on June 30, 2026, showed that Trump earned more than $1.4 billion from crypto-related ventures in 2025, including about $635 million from $TRUMP and about $799 million from World Liberty Financial. Nansen data through the end of June showed that nearly 990,000 wallets had lost a combined $3.81 billion, while Bitcoin was down about 50% from its all-time high.
