Nium Integrates Coinbase Infrastructure to Bring USDC to Global Cross-Border Payments

1 reports · First detected 2026-04-21 · Last active 2026-04-21

Singapore fintech company Nium operates a real-time cross-border payments network serving banks, fintech companies and businesses. Traditional cross-border payments require funds to be prefunded across jurisdictions, tying up capital. Integrating the U.S. dollar stablecoin USDC can shorten settlement processes and improve liquidity efficiency.

Nium said on April 21, 2026, that it had adopted Coinbase’s stablecoin payments API, integrating USDC collection, payment and conversion capabilities with fiat payouts across more than 190 countries and over 40 licenses. The service is now formally live, allowing businesses to deploy liquidity on demand. The companies did not disclose the value of the partnership.
