Bybit to Launch 24/7 SpaceX and Nvidia Perpetual Options

1 reports · First detected 2026-08-29 · Last active 2026-08-29

Bybit is extending crypto-style market infrastructure — perpetual contracts, stablecoin settlement and round-the-clock access — to derivatives linked to U.S. equities. The initial lineup covers private space company SpaceX and artificial-intelligence chipmaker Nvidia, giving users price exposure through a crypto exchange rather than a traditional brokerage. The launch highlights the accelerating convergence between digital-asset venues and conventional securities markets.

The cryptocurrency exchange said options on SpaceX and Nvidia stock perpetuals will become available from Sept. 17. Trading will remain open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and users will be able to take fractional positions instead of purchasing whole shares or contracts. Bybit said all transactions will be settled in USDT, the dollar-pegged stablecoin, removing dependence on standard U.S. market hours.

The Backstory

The history behind this event
Blockchain.com Launches SpaceX-Linked Perpetual Contract2026-06-11 · 1 reports · similarity 0.81

SpaceX is not publicly listed, making it difficult for ordinary investors to trade its shares directly. Blockchain.com has therefore turned market expectations for a SpaceX IPO into a derivative aimed at eligible institutional clients. The product provides price exposure without requiring investors to hold actual shares and does not confer ownership of SpaceX equity.

Blockchain.com announced in July 2026 that its OTC desk had launched perpetual contracts trading 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with the initial offerings including a SpaceX-linked product. As of July 20, the platform had not disclosed the contract size, trading volume or date of a SpaceX IPO. Investors should be mindful of leverage, pricing and liquidity risks.
