Plaud Launches AI Earbuds With eSIM-Enabled Agent Case

2 reports · First detected 2026-08-27 · Last active 2026-08-27

AI note-taking hardware is moving beyond cards and pendants into earbuds, a form factor users already carry. Plaud enters that market with more than 2.5 million hardware and software users and annualized revenue that reached $100 million in June 2026. Plaud One is designed to turn recorded conversations into work products, putting the company against earbud makers Viaim and Anker as well as software assistants such as Granola, Fathom and Read AI.

Plaud opened preorders for the Plaud One Explorer Edition on August 27, 2026, pricing the limited run of 2,000 units at $249.99. Its charging case carries a 4G LTE eSIM, allowing recordings to upload without a phone or Wi-Fi, while Plaud Agent can connect with Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion and Slack to draft follow-up emails, documents and presentations. The earbuds record for up to six hours and the case for up to 25 hours, with pickup from five meters. Each unit includes 300 monthly transcription minutes and $200 in credits for agent features due in coming months.
