OpenAI Launches ChatGPT Dreaming V3 Memory System for Fully Automated Personalized Learning
OpenAI has long used ChatGPT’s memory feature to retain user preferences and conversational context, allowing responses to build on previous interactions. Dreaming V3 further automates how memories are organized and updated, aiming to make personalized recommendations more timely and accurate while reducing the need for users to manage memories manually.
OpenAI recently formally launched Dreaming V3, which can integrate new conversations in real time and update long-term preferences at about one-fifth of the previous computing cost. The initial rollout is available to ChatGPT subscribers in the United States, with a phased global expansion to follow. As of July 19, 2026, available information did not specify an exact launch date, eligible plan pricing or the amount of any additional fees.
