Taipei Fubon Bank Launches Online Trust Supervisor Service to Improve Efficiency and Asset Protection
By the end of 2025, people aged 65 or older accounted for more than 20% of Taiwan’s population, formally making it a super-aged society. Amid the risks of fraud targeting older people and misuse of assets, a trust supervisor can oversee the trustee bank and provide a second layer of scrutiny for terminating a trust, making major expenditures or disposing of assets. The role is an important safeguard for elder care and asset protection.
Taipei Fubon Bank launched its online trust supervisor appointment service on May 13, 2026. Previously, trust supervisors were appointed in only about 30% of cases. Eligible customers who sign contracts online can complete the application, identity verification, review and status inquiry processes remotely, eliminating branch visits and back-and-forth paperwork. The bank did not disclose any minimum trust amount or service fees.
