Yi Lihua Calls Bitcoin Bear Market Over as BTC Reclaims 200-Day Average
Bitcoin’s long-term moving averages are widely used by traders to gauge shifts between bearish and bullish market regimes. Yi Lihua, founder of Liquid Capital, said the cryptocurrency’s recovery above its 120-day and 200-day moving averages, together with a weekly close above the 20-week average, signals improving momentum. He therefore declared the Bitcoin bear market over, though moving-average signals typically require further confirmation.
Bitcoin has now reclaimed its 200-day moving average for the first time in the latest advance, strengthening the case for a trend reversal. However, the 50-day average has yet to cross above the 200-day line, meaning the closely watched “golden cross” has not formed. On-chain analytics firm Glassnode also said the market remains in a capitulation phase, underscoring that the rebound still lacks unanimous technical and on-chain confirmation.
