Flowdesk Secures Full Dubai Broker-Dealer License
Flowdesk, a French digital-asset market maker backed by Coinbase Ventures, provides liquidity and trading technology to token issuers and institutional clients. The company raised $102 million in equity and debt financing on March 4, 2025, including debt from funds managed by BlackRock. Regulatory approvals are central to its expansion as institutional counterparties increasingly require licensed execution, custody safeguards and clear oversight before committing capital to crypto markets.
Flowdesk said on Aug. 12, 2026, that its Dubai unit, Flowdesk Omega FZE, had secured a full Broker-Dealer Services license from the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority. The authorization allows the entity to provide regulated brokerage services to qualified and institutional investors. It follows VARA’s in-principle approval on June 8 and Flowdesk Europe’s MiCA Crypto-Asset Service Provider authorization, effective June 30, extending the group’s compliance footprint across the European Union and Middle East.
