HashKey Seeks Full Takeover of Singapore’s APEX Exchange

1 reports · First detected 2026-07-30 · Last active 2026-07-30

HashKey Holdings Limited has been expanding its regulated digital-asset footprint across Asia, with its Singapore operations currently centered on licensed digital payment-token services, including HashKey OTC. Asia Pacific Exchange, or APEX, and its clearing arm, APEX Clear, are regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Owning the businesses would give HashKey established exchange and clearing infrastructure, broadening its appeal to institutional clients seeking regulated trading, custody and post-trade services.

HashKey said on July 30, 2026, that a subsidiary signed a non-binding framework agreement to acquire 100% of APEX. The transaction value was not disclosed. The proposal remains subject to due diligence, definitive agreements and regulatory approvals, meaning completion is not assured. If concluded, the acquisition would bring an MAS-approved exchange and clearing house into HashKey’s network, strengthening its institutional trading, custody, settlement and clearing capabilities in Singapore.

HashKey Unifies Regional Crypto Exchanges in Single App2026-07-28 · 2 reports · similarity 0.80

HashKey Holdings, founded in 2018 and listed in Hong Kong under ticker 3887.HK, built its digital-asset exchange business through separately operated regional platforms, including HashKey Exchange and HashKey Global. That structure reflected a broader industry practice: licensed venues kept jurisdictions in silos because rules on customer access, custody and products differ by market. A unified interface can reduce friction for cross-border users while preserving the local controls required by regulators.

HashKey launched its unified Crypto Trading App on July 27, 2026, bringing access for Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai and Bermuda into one portal. The app uses customers’ KYC and KYB credentials to display only products permitted in their jurisdiction. Hong Kong supports four fiat currencies and about 40 digital assets. Singapore offers OTC trading across 21 cryptocurrencies, with a $10 minimum order and per-transaction caps of $50 million for corporate clients and $8 million for individuals.
