JPMorgan Payments Unveils Next Phase of Growth Strategy
JPMorgan Payments provides critical infrastructure connecting the group’s corporate treasury management, cross-border payments and merchant acquiring businesses. As fintech competition intensifies, real-time payments gain traction and fraud risks rise, banks’ ability to integrate services through global networks and technology has become crucial to retaining corporate clients and fee revenue.
During the 2026 Payments Forum, JPMorgan Payments Global Co-Head Umar Farooq said the division currently processes $12 trillion–$16 trillion in transactions each day. Its next phase will focus on further expanding its global payments and merchant acquiring businesses, strengthening fraud prevention and serving clients across different levels of technological maturity.
