MoneyGram Launches Global Crypto-to-Cash Ramps on Solana
MoneyGram is a global remittance provider serving more than 60 million active customers through nearly 500,000 retail locations. Its Ramps product connects physical cash with digital assets, including USDC, and was initially built around Stellar infrastructure. The Solana expansion extends that regulated on-and-off-ramp network to a broader ecosystem of wallets and payment applications. It follows MoneyGram’s June 22, 2026, move to join the Solana Developer Platform and operate as a network validator.
MoneyGram said on August 11, 2026, that MoneyGram Ramps was live on Solana, allowing developers to add compliant cash-to-crypto and crypto-to-cash services through a single API without building banking infrastructure. Cash deposits are supported in more than 25 countries, while withdrawals are available across more than 170 countries and territories. Rift became the first Solana wallet to integrate the service. MoneyGram did not disclose an investment amount or set a transaction-volume target for the rollout.
