Nan Shan Life Invests NT$4 Billion in Taiwan’s Largest Insurance Training Hub

Nan Shan Life Insurance is investing NT$4 billion in the Shalun Cultural and Creative Park in New Taipei City, positioning the development as Taiwan’s largest training and sustainability education base for the insurance industry. The project underscores a broader shift by insurers beyond claims payments toward risk management and prevention, while integrating workforce development, green construction and ecological conservation into long-term property investment.

The Shalun park is scheduled to open at the end of September, with an education and training center serving as a hub for Nan Shan Life’s professional development and sustainability programs. The campus uses an ultra-low building coverage design and green-building principles, preserving extensive open space while incorporating marine ecosystem conservation. Nan Shan Life says the project will embed environmental education and the insurance concept of prevention before loss into daily operations.
