TRON Joins Linux Foundation AI Governing Board, Targets Agentic Finance Infrastructure
The Linux Foundation established the Agentic AI Foundation (AAIF) on December 9, 2025, with OpenAI, Anthropic and Block as co-founders and backing from Google and others. It aims to develop open, interoperable standards for AI agents. TRON's participation could extend its public blockchain's stablecoin settlement capabilities into machine-to-machine payment infrastructure for autonomous transactions by AI agents.
TRON DAO announced on March 10, 2026, that TRON had joined the AAIF as a Gold member and secured a seat on its governing board, giving it a role in agentic AI standards and open-source governance. Linux Foundation data dated May 18 showed that TRON had more than 381 million users and 13.9 billion transactions, with cumulative transfer volume exceeding $26 trillion and more than $89 billion in USDT on-chain.
