As SpaceX moves toward an IPO, its S-1 registration statement is a key document for investors assessing revenue, costs and risks. Base ecosystem developer Nick Prince demonstrated a system combining an AI agent, the x402 payment protocol and USDC, enabling software to purchase data and complete analysis autonomously. The demonstration highlights the potential of the Agentic Economy in financial research.

Prince’s AI agent used USDC to pay API fees autonomously through the x402 protocol, then accessed and analyzed SpaceX’s S-1 filing. The entire process took just 12 minutes and cost a total of $1.87, ultimately producing a professional-grade financial analysis memo. The demonstration showed how AI can execute an integrated workflow spanning data procurement, document analysis and final delivery.
