Intel Issues August Security Fixes for Xeon, Gaudi AI Products
Intel’s Xeon processors and Trust Domain Extensions, or TDX, are widely used in data centers and confidential-computing systems, while Gaudi accelerators and tools such as LLM-on-Ray support the training and deployment of artificial intelligence models. Security flaws across that stack matter because successful exploitation could undermine workload isolation, disrupt services or expose enterprise AI infrastructure to unauthorized activity, particularly where operators rely on older software or hardware that no longer receives support.
Intel issued a group of product security advisories in August covering multiple high-risk vulnerabilities in Xeon processors, TDX, Intel Gaudi AI accelerator environments, LLM-on-Ray and machine-learning framework packages. The identified weaknesses could enable outcomes including privilege escalation and denial-of-service attacks. Intel advised customers to install the latest available versions promptly and to disable products that have reached end of support when no security update is available, reducing exposure in data-center and AI deployments.
