Hwa Nan Bank Backs FinTechSpace’s First Fintech Microprogram With NT$100,000 Scholarship
To address demand for talent amid the rise of generative AI and the digital transformation of finance, FinTechSpace launched its first Financial Technology Innovation Microprogram. The initiative was overseen by Taiwan’s Financial Supervisory Commission, organized by the Taiwan Financial Services Roundtable and administered by FinTechSpace. It brought together National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, National Taipei University of Technology, National Chung Cheng University and Ming Chuan University to offer cross-campus courses in which students developed practical fintech skills by tackling real-world industry problems.
A joint presentation and awards ceremony for the inaugural cross-campus program was held on June 12, 2026. Spanning one academic year, the program offered 27 classes taught by seven professors and more than 10 industry experts, recording 2,012 course enrollments. Hwa Nan Bank set the challenge and provided NT$100,000 in scholarships. It will also select seven outstanding interns to attend the Singapore FinTech Festival in November.
