Trulioo CEO Warns Financial Institutions of Fragmented Risk Systems
As financial services providers accelerate onboarding, payments and approvals, Trulioo CEO Vicky Bindra says siloed identity verification, transaction monitoring and compliance tools allow bad actors to evade detection across platforms. Financial institutions that conduct KYC only once, when an account is opened, struggle to stop account takeovers, synthetic identities and networks of money-mule accounts.
PYMNTS published an interview with Bindra on February 26, 2026, identifying “fragmented risk systems” as a key risk for 2026 and calling for device, behavioral, location and transaction signals to be connected. On March 26, Trulioo’s Kiran Kumar and Mastercard’s Kurt Weiss also advocated real-time scoring and continuous verification. The reports did not disclose fraud losses or investment amounts.
