Unlimited Technology Systems Data Breach Affects Over 3.8 Million
Unlimited Technology Systems, a US provider of healthcare financial technology and revenue-cycle management software, handles billing and patient information for medical organizations. Such platforms can hold large volumes of sensitive identity and financial records, making breaches particularly consequential because they may expose patients to identity theft while creating compliance and operational risks for healthcare providers.
UTS reported that an unauthorized party gained access to its data center, potentially exposing information belonging to more than 3.8 million patients. The compromised data may include identity-document details, Social Security numbers and other personal information. The company has notified regulators and said it had found no evidence of misuse as of the filing, though the exact intrusion and discovery dates were not disclosed.
