Humanoid Raises $152 Million, Reaches $1.35 Billion Valuation
Humanoid, a UK-based AI and robotics startup founded two years ago, develops human-shaped machines for industrial work. The company is targeting manufacturers, logistics operators and retailers seeking to ease labor shortages and automate repetitive tasks, a market increasingly described as “physical AI.” Its unicorn status is significant because much of the sector’s funding and development has been concentrated in the United States and China, while Humanoid says it is Europe’s first pure-play humanoid robotics company to reach a billion-dollar valuation.
On July 21, 2026, Humanoid announced a $152 million Series A led by Prime Movers Lab, valuing the company at $1.35 billion post-money and lifting total funding to $270 million. Schaeffler, Bosch, Fubon Financial Holding Venture Capital and Aglaé Ventures also participated. The proceeds will support mass production of wheel-based humanoid robots, development of its proprietary KinetIQ AI platform and commercial deployments. Humanoid plans to place beta robots at customer sites in manufacturing, logistics, retail and other industries in the fourth quarter of 2026, with Bosch serving as a contract-manufacturing partner.
