Stanbic IBTC Bank Upgrades to FinnAxia 9.0
Stanbic IBTC Bank, the Nigerian lender owned by South Africa’s Standard Bank Group, has maintained a longstanding technology partnership with India-based Nucleus Software. FinnAxia, launched on Feb. 28, 2014, supports transaction-banking functions including corporate payments, receivables and liquidity management. Such platforms are critical to banks seeking faster processing, stronger operational resilience and regulatory compliance as corporate clients shift more treasury activity to digital channels.
Stanbic IBTC Bank and Nucleus Software said on Aug. 12, 2026, that the lender had completed its upgrade to FinnAxia 9.0, marking another milestone in their partnership. Nucleus says the release strengthens transaction processing, API connectivity, customer experience, security and audit controls while improving scalability and operational efficiency. The companies did not disclose the contract value, implementation cost or term of the agreement.
