AngelList Acquires Ark to Expand Private-Markets Platform
AngelList, founded in 2010, provides fund administration and investor-management infrastructure for private markets. The San Francisco-based company supports more than $170 billion in assets across over 25,000 funds and syndicates, with 72,000 active investors. Ark PES, founded in 2017, supplies cloud software that automates fund accounting and limited-partner reporting. Bringing the businesses together reflects rising demand for integrated systems as venture capital and private-equity firms manage increasingly complex operations.
AngelList announced the acquisition of Boston-based Ark PES on July 16, 2026, without disclosing financial terms. Ark’s platform serves more than 500 general partners and fund administrators across venture capital and private equity, supporting over $185 billion in assets. AngelList plans to connect Ark customers in the coming months to its fund-accounting, banking, payments, cap-table and AI capabilities. The combined network is intended to reduce capital calls, distributions and subscriptions from days of manual wire processing to minutes.
