Bybit Acquires NOBI to Launch Indonesia Platform
Indonesia has emerged as one of Southeast Asia’s largest digital-asset markets, with more than 21 million crypto users. The scale of that customer base makes the country an important expansion target for global exchanges seeking growth in Asia. For Bybit, acquiring a local operator provides an established platform for entering the Indonesian market and extending its regional footprint.
Bybit has acquired a majority stake in Indonesian digital-asset company NOBI and reorganized the business as Bybit Indonesia, formally launching its local trading platform. Services are scheduled to be introduced in phases, with the first stage offering 500 cryptocurrency trading pairs. The companies did not disclose the purchase price, the precise ownership stake or an exact transaction completion date in the reports.
