NYCU’s EYEFLOW Wins Red Bull Basement Taiwan Title With AI Healthcare Solution
Red Bull Basement is a global competition focused on young innovators and technology-driven solutions to real-world problems. EYEFLOW, a team of faculty members and students from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University’s medical school, developed a remote at-home testing solution combining AI with proprietary software. The project aims to reduce the burden on clinical nurses who must repeatedly conduct tests and demonstrates the potential for smart healthcare technologies in real-world care settings.
Nine teams competed in the Red Bull Basement Taiwan final on April 25, 2026, presenting proposals spanning healthcare, aviation safety, smart agriculture and career development. EYEFLOW won the competition and secured the right to represent Taiwan. The team will next travel to Silicon Valley in the United States for the global final, where it will compete against startup teams from around the world for $100,000 in startup funding.
