Gemini Launches Agentic Trading, Letting Claude and ChatGPT Execute Crypto Strategies Directly

Gemini, a regulated U.S. cryptocurrency exchange, is bringing AI agents into live trading workflows. Through the Model Context Protocol, or MCP, Anthropic’s Claude and OpenAI’s ChatGPT can do more than analyze markets: they can retrieve prices, compare spreads and place strategy-based orders. The move shows generative AI evolving from an investment support tool into an automated trading agent.

Gemini has launched Agentic Trading, which it describes as the first U.S. platform to allow AI agents to trade directly on a regulated exchange. It currently supports the Claude and ChatGPT AI services. As of July 20, 2026, Gemini had not disclosed an official launch date, trading fees, minimum trade sizes or risk-control limits.
