B2 Bank Hires New Team to Drive Digital Banking Expansion

B2 Bank, a community bank owned by M1 Finance founder Brian Barnes, is shifting its focus toward becoming a nationwide digital bank. The management overhaul will be critical to its efforts to combine a banking charter, deposit and lending services, and a fintech platform to expand beyond its local market and reach more customers.

B2 Bank has appointed Ryan Jaskiewicz as CEO and hired several senior executives from Climate First Bank to join its management team and advance the development of its banking platform and digital channels. Reports did not disclose when the appointments would take effect, the size of the team or compensation details, and did not involve any merger, acquisition or fundraising transaction.
