Glovo, PragmaGO Launch MCA Financing for Romanian Merchants
Merchant cash advances can use platform sales records to size working-capital funding for small businesses, offering a faster application process than conventional bank lending. The model matters in Romania because Glovo connects several thousand restaurant and retail partners whose cash flows can be exposed to demand swings and missed expansion opportunities. By embedding PragmaGO’s PragmaCash in Glovo’s merchant ecosystem, the companies aim to give small and medium-sized enterprises a more direct route to funds for inventory, operating expenses and growth.
Glovo and Poland-based fintech PragmaGO announced the Romanian rollout on July 28, 2026, making Romania their second market for the product after Spain. Eligible merchants can obtain 3,000 to 200,000 Romanian lei, with limits based on revenue previously generated through Glovo. Applications and SMS contract signing are fully digital, while repayment is made in equal weekly installments over four or 12 months. PragmaGO said businesses using similar financing through its other partners recorded average annual revenue growth of as much as 36%.
