Fluke manufactures industrial testing and measurement equipment widely used in manufacturing, energy and maintenance. The incident underscores the supply-chain cybersecurity risks created by companies’ reliance on third-party software. The exposed data included identifying and disability-related information that could be used for fraud or identity theft.

As of July 20, 2026, Fluke had confirmed that hackers exploited a vulnerability in third-party software and stole Social Security numbers, identity information and disability-related data belonging to about 18,500 people. The Clop ransomware group claimed responsibility. Fluke offered victims 24 months of free identity-theft monitoring and credit-protection services.
