Dell Raises Forecast as AI Server Boom Lifts Taiwan Suppliers
Spending on generative-AI infrastructure has turned accelerator-packed servers into a key growth engine for Dell Technologies, as cloud operators and enterprises race to add computing capacity. Dell’s position as a major global server vendor also makes its order book an important signal for Asian hardware manufacturers. Taiwan-based partners including Wistron, Hon Hai Precision Industry and Inventec stand to benefit through higher assembly volumes and capacity utilization as AI-system deliveries expand.
Dell raised its full-year revenue forecast to $192 billion in its latest outlook and said its backlog of AI server orders had reached $95 billion, underscoring demand that remains well ahead of near-term shipments. The announcement sent Dell shares as much as 10% higher in after-hours trading. The stronger forecast is expected to translate into additional orders for Wistron, Hon Hai and Inventec, giving Taiwan’s contract-manufacturing supply chain greater visibility over the coming quarters.
