Altcoin Market Cap Tops $1 Trillion as ENA, PUMP Lead Gains
Altcoin market capitalization is widely tracked as a gauge of risk appetite and capital rotation beyond Bitcoin. Bitcoin’s strong rebound has drawn investors back into smaller crypto assets, but the market is increasingly rewarding project-specific fundamentals, product developments and positive catalysts. That selective backdrop differs from earlier cycles, when broad liquidity often lifted thousands of tokens together in a sweeping “altcoin season.”
The latest advance lifted the combined value of altcoins back above $1 trillion to about $1.13 trillion. Ethena’s ENA, Pump.fun’s PUMP and Zcash’s ZEC were among the strongest performers, outpacing the broader market. Still, gains remained concentrated in tokens with identifiable catalysts, underscoring a sharp divergence across the sector and suggesting that the indiscriminate, market-wide rallies seen in previous crypto cycles may be difficult to repeat.
