Check Point Patches VPN Flaws, Discloses Vulnerability Found by AI Platform BLAST
Check Point’s VPN products are a key gateway for remote access at companies and government agencies. Any flaw in authentication or access controls could allow attackers to infiltrate internal networks. CVE-2026-50751 has been widely exploited and linked to ransomware attacks, making prompt patching critical to operational continuity and data security.
Check Point has issued a security advisory and patches, while the U.S. government ordered federal agencies to apply the fixes within 4 days of the advisory. A June 9 security bulletin said the zero-day vulnerability had been used in ransomware attacks. Check Point also disclosed that BLAST, an AI coding-agent security platform, had separately detected CVE-2026-50752.
