U.S. Bank Becomes NFL's Official Banking and Wealth Management Sponsor

1 reports · First detected 2026-04-08 · Last active 2026-04-08

U.S. Bank is the fifth-largest commercial bank in the United States, with about $692.3 billion in assets, and has worked with the NFL for more than 20 years. After Visa's roughly 30-year hold on the league's main financial sponsorship rights expired in March 2026, the NFL split banking, payments and peer-to-peer payments into separate categories, allowing financial brands to compete independently for fans and wealth management clients.

The NFL and U.S. Bank announced a multiyear agreement on April 7, 2026, naming the bank the league's official banking and wealth management sponsor. It is the NFL's first standalone banking sponsor in 30 years. Financial terms and the length of the agreement were not disclosed. Beginning with Super Bowl LXI, U.S. Bank will become the presenting sponsor of the Most Valuable Player award and will also serve as a top-tier sponsor of the NFL FLAG Championships.
