LG Partners With Arbitrum on Blockchain Ad Network to Reshape Digital Advertising
LG Electronics, a major global maker of smart TVs and consumer electronics, is moving the management of its television advertising inventory onto Arbitrum, an Ethereum Layer 2 network. The $679 billion digital advertising market has long struggled with layers of intermediaries, fees and performance-verification issues. Using blockchain to make transactions more transparent could change how advertisers, media owners and platforms work together.
LG Electronics and Arbitrum announced plans to launch a blockchain-based advertising inventory database in 2026, putting ad supply, bidding and transaction records onchain. Smart contracts will automate processes in an effort to reduce intermediary costs and make campaign data traceable. Targeting the global $679 billion digital advertising market, the project is LG’s latest move to expand its onchain business applications.
