Bitpanda Launches Vision Chain to Connect European Banks With Tokenized Assets
Founded in 2014 and serving more than 7 million users across Europe, Bitpanda is expanding beyond crypto brokerage into institutional-grade financial infrastructure. Vision Chain is designed to enable banks and fintech companies to issue and settle tokenized assets such as stocks and funds under EU regulations including MiCA and MiFID II, bridging traditional finance and public blockchain markets.
Bitpanda, the Vision Web3 Foundation and Optimism unveiled Vision Chain on March 25, 2026. Built with the OP Stack as an Ethereum Layer 2 network, it targets block times of 200 milliseconds and supports same-day withdrawals to Ethereum. The mainnet is expected to launch later in 2026, with fees payable in a MiCA-compliant euro stablecoin or VSN. The amount invested was not disclosed.
