FIFA Taps JPMorgan for $4.2 Billion Investment Vehicle
FIFA has traditionally funded its operations and member associations through revenue from World Cup broadcasting, sponsorship and licensing. The proposed FIFA Forward Enterprise would consolidate those commercial rights and tournament operations in a dedicated subsidiary open to outside capital for the first time. The shift could unlock the future value of FIFA’s premier assets while leaving football governance, competition rules and strategic control with the global governing body.
FIFA said on July 28, 2026, that it was working with JPMorgan Chase & Co. on plans to raise as much as $4.2 billion for FIFA Forward Enterprise later in 2026, based on an initial equity valuation of $20 billion. Investors would acquire minority, non-controlling interests. The proposal remains subject to majority support from FIFA’s 211 member associations and approval by the FIFA Council, with proceeds earmarked for football development worldwide.
