Jensen Huang Calls for New Social Norms and Regulatory Standards for AI

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang says generative AI is moving beyond the workplace and into everyday life. Just as the advent of automobiles reshaped transportation and the law, society must establish corresponding rules of conduct. The issue has implications for industry innovation, public safety and the competitiveness of U.S. AI infrastructure, with electricity supply a critical constraint on data center expansion.

Huang recently said people should actively engage with AI rather than reject it out of fear, while governments must establish regulatory frameworks and safety standards so the technology can advance with risks kept under control. He also warned the U.S. government that rapidly rising demand for AI computing has made energy infrastructure a major challenge.
