CodeRabbit Raises $143 Million at $1.5 Billion Valuation
CodeRabbit automates code reviews to help software teams identify bugs, security vulnerabilities and policy violations before changes are merged. The company is positioning its platform as a governance layer for AI-assisted development, where coding agents can produce software faster than human engineers can inspect it. That widening review bottleneck has made code quality and oversight a growing priority for enterprises adopting generative AI tools.
CodeRabbit said on Aug. 13, 2026, that it raised $143 million in a Series C round co-led by Atomico and Smash Capital, valuing the company at $1.5 billion. The valuation is about 2.7 times the $550 million level reached with its $60 million Series B on Sept. 16, 2025. CodeRabbit plans to use the proceeds to accelerate international expansion and deepen research and development in AI code-governance technology.
