Developer Open-Sources Claude-Powered Contrarian Tracker for Ba Ni Ni
A “contrarian indicator” is a tongue-in-cheek investment strategy in which traders take the opposite view of a particular person’s moves. A Taiwanese developer used Anthropic’s Claude and the Playwright browser automation tool to build the “Ba Ni Ni Contrarian Indicator Tracker,” turning the influencer’s public investment activity into trackable signals. The project highlights how generative AI can now assist with data collection and the organization of trading views.
As of July 20, 2026, the developer had released the tracker’s source code on GitHub. The system automatically captures Ba Ni Ni’s entries, exits and stop-loss updates, which Claude then interprets in reverse before sending real-time alerts through Telegram. Some users have used the notifications to mirror trades in simulated portfolios, but no figures have been released on actual capital invested, cumulative returns or long-term backtesting results.
