Boerse Stuttgart Digital Integrates SocGen Euro Stablecoin

1 reports · First detected 2026-07-23 · Last active 2026-07-23

EUR CoinVertible, or EURCV, is issued by Societe Generale-FORGE, the digital-asset subsidiary of French lender Societe Generale. The token is redeemable one-for-one in euros, fully backed by segregated collateral and has complied with the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation since July 1, 2024. Its adoption matters because regulated, bank-backed digital money could give European institutions a familiar settlement asset while reducing reliance on dollar stablecoins issued by Web3-native companies.

Boerse Stuttgart Digital said on July 23, 2026, it had integrated EURCV into its regulated institutional trading and custody services, the first euro stablecoin from a bank subsidiary admitted to its ecosystem. The step follows a test transaction on Boerse Stuttgart Group’s Seturion platform in September 2025 and a broader partnership signed with flatexDEGIRO, Societe Generale and SG-FORGE on May 21, 2026. SG-FORGE reported €128.0 million of EURCV in circulation on July 23.

The history behind this event
Crédit Agricole’s CACEIS Launches EURXT Euro Stablecoin on Ethereum2026-07-01 · 3 reports · similarity 0.80

CACEIS, the asset-servicing arm of Crédit Agricole, has entered the stablecoin market as major European banks extend traditional financial services onto public blockchains. EURXT maintains a 1:1 peg to the euro and targets institutional investors and corporate clients for tokenized-asset trading and onchain settlement.

CACEIS announced the issuance of EURXT on Ethereum and will oversee both the stablecoin and related asset services. Each EURXT is backed by €1, and retail investors are not its primary target at this stage. The launch is primarily intended to shorten payment settlement times between institutions and give companies a euro-denominated settlement instrument that can be integrated into tokenized financial workflows.

Boerse Stuttgart Teams Up With SocGen on European Blockchain Securities Settlement System2026-05-21 · 1 reports · similarity 0.83

Boerse Stuttgart subsidiary Seturion is building a pan-European distributed ledger technology (DLT) infrastructure for securities settlement. The system is intended to allow banks and brokers across different countries to share a common platform and reduce fragmentation in cross-border post-trade operations. The involvement of Societe Generale and its digital-asset subsidiary SG-FORGE will also connect tokenized securities with settlement using regulated stablecoins.

Seturion is advancing the latest initiative with Societe Generale, SG-FORGE and German online broker flatexDEGIRO. The partners plan to issue tokenized structured securities and settle transactions using the euro stablecoin EURCV and the U.S. dollar stablecoin USDCV. Seturion has applied to Germany's Federal Financial Supervisory Authority, BaFin, for authorization under the EU's DLT Pilot Regime. As of publication, the partners had not disclosed the value of the collaboration, an approval date or a formal launch timetable.

Societe Generale Deploys Stablecoins on Canton to Advance Tokenized Finance2026-05-14 · 1 reports · similarity 0.80

Societe Generale subsidiary SG-FORGE launched the euro-denominated EURCV stablecoin in 2023 and the U.S. dollar-denominated USDCV in 2025. Stablecoins bring the value of fiat currencies on-chain, allowing collateral, financing and settlement for tokenized assets to operate on the same infrastructure. Connecting to the institution-focused Canton network could improve collateral mobility and reduce settlement risk.

Societe Generale announced on May 13, 2026, that SG-FORGE would deploy EURCV and USDCV on Canton and become a super validator on the network. The group plans to accept tokenized assets as eligible collateral, participate in on-chain repo financing, and use both stablecoins to support institutional settlement and cash management. The announcement did not disclose the value of the deployment, issuance volumes or a launch date.
