Binance Sees More Than $400 Million in Weekly Net Outflows as MiCA Deadline Nears
The European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) requires crypto service providers to obtain authorization, with the longest national transition periods expiring on July 1, 2026. As the deadline approaches, Binance’s compliance strategy and fund flows have become key indicators of whether European users and assets are moving to licensed platforms.
Binance recorded more than $400 million in weekly net outflows in late June 2026. More recent reports put the figure at $1.2 billion, while ETH withdrawals reached a three-year high. Binance also withdrew its MiCA license application in Greece during the same period. On-chain data, however, has yet to show a large-scale migration of users, and it remains unclear whether the fund movements will persist.
