Gartner Forecasts AI Will Accelerate Enterprise Data and Analytics Transformation

Gartner said generative AI and AI agents are evolving from query-support tools into systems that proactively execute tasks, reshaping enterprise data platforms, analytics tools and decision-making processes. The shift is also changing employee productivity, talent recruitment and data governance, requiring companies to adjust infrastructure and accountability structures in advance.

Gartner expects the transformation to accelerate markedly from 2027 as AI becomes more deeply integrated into data and analytics applications, driving companies to build AI infrastructure and automated governance mechanisms. The latest report did not disclose investment figures but stressed that companies must begin rethinking workforce allocation, governance strategies and technology deployment now.
