Basware to Acquire Trustpair to Bolster Payment Fraud Defenses

1 reports · First detected 2026-08-26 · Last active 2026-08-26

Basware specializes in Invoice Lifecycle Management and accounts-payable automation, while Trustpair embeds enterprise-grade account validation into corporate ERP systems. Founded in 2017, Trustpair checks that bank accounts belong to intended suppliers during onboarding, after payment-detail changes and before authorization. Combining those controls would address a widening fraud gap between approving a legitimate invoice and ensuring the money reaches the correct recipient.

Basware and Trustpair’s shareholders announced a binding acquisition agreement on Aug. 26, 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed, and the transaction is expected to close later in 2026, subject to customary conditions. Trustpair will continue operating independently as a Basware company while gaining access to intelligence spanning 2.5 billion invoices and 20 million suppliers. The deal is Basware’s fourth acquisition in less than three years, following Glantus, AP Matching and Redmap.
