Chiliz Expands to Solana and Base to Boost Fan Token Trading Ahead of World Cup

Chiliz is a sports- and entertainment-focused blockchain platform whose fan tokens connect football clubs and teams with their supporters, enabling trading and community engagement. The tokens have historically been dispersed across different networks, fragmenting liquidity. Integrating with Solana and Coinbase-backed Base will broaden their market reach and trading channels.

Chiliz recently announced plans to expand more than 70 fan tokens to Solana and Base using the Omnichain Fungible Token standard, allowing assets moving across chains to share liquidity. The company aims to complete the rollout before the World Cup in summer 2026, using multichain distribution to increase fan token trading volume and adoption.
