Antro Files QMS Documents for Kawasaki Disease AI Tool

Kawasaki disease is an acute inflammatory illness that mainly affects young children and can cause coronary artery complications if treatment is delayed. Atypical cases are particularly difficult to identify because patients may not meet conventional diagnostic criteria. Antro Biotechnology developed PEKAN, an AI-assisted diagnostic software product designed to help physicians assess risk, flag possible atypical cases and avoid missing the optimal treatment window.

Antro Biotechnology said it has completed the document filing for the medical-device Quality Management System, or QMS, covering PEKAN. The submission marks a regulatory and commercialization milestone for the software, which is intended to support clinical judgment rather than replace physicians. The company’s latest disclosure concerns completion of the filing process; it does not indicate that QMS approval or marketing authorization has been granted.
